Strong support for LGBC protest against appeal decision

September 2021

In June our chairman, Richard Knox-Johnston wrote to the Prime Minister in June protesting at the very alarming Appeal decision by a Planning Inspector that housing need is sufficient to outweigh Green Belt protection, despite Government ministers' assurances to the contrary and contrary to the wishes of both the local Planning Authority and local community.

Richard elaborated on this in this letter sent in response to a rather evasive reply from the Minister of Housing, Eddie Hughes.

Now, forthright support for our stance has come from Crispin Blunt, MP for Reigate in a letter to Mr Hughes.
